VOLUNTEERS
Each migration season the IBRCE hosts volunteers from all over the world. As the spring migration is usually heavier, we tend to have more volunteers during the spring migration than in Autumn. So far, we have hosted volunteers from France, Spain, Switzerland, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Palestine, Nigeria, Japan, America, Canada, South Africa and more. Our volunteers range from having very little experience working with birds within a conservation organization to those who are fully licensed ringers. Age ranges of our volunteers vary from people just finishing school to those who are now retired. We do require our volunteers to able to stand working in the heat, be fit enough for plenty of walking and to be able to get on well with others. Each migration season we have a lot of fun as well as hard work. There is a strong team spirit and we try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We expect our volunteers to be able to spend a minimum of two weeks with us and to come with the attitude that to run a research and conservation organization everyone needs to "muck-in". Although there will be a lot of work with the birds we do also expect our volunteers to be able to help with the general maintenance of the park, especially at the beginning of a season. Unfortunately, we cannot provide our volunteers with flights to and from Israel but we do offer very basic accommodation in an apartment in town, shared with the other volunteers with one hot meal a day. If you are interested in volunteering please send a CV with two references to: and please state when you would be able to volunteer and for how long.
VOLUNTEERING HOLIDAYS A chance for you to learn some skills in conservation and support us. We do offer Volunteering Holidays where we will arrange your accommodation and give you insight into running a conservation organization. You will have hands on experience with birds and join in with the team of the IBRCE. Prices for these holidays vary during seasons so we advise you to contact us for more information. Please read the "HANDS ON VOLUNTEERS" document. |
