20.7.07The Sudanese refugees having fun in the bird sanctuary!
The city of Eilat is now hosting hundreds of the Dharfur refugees that had to flee from their homes under scary and dangerous circumstances. Many of them are children who had to witness brutal behavior and terrifying memories as well as a long and tiring way through harsh deserts to their safety. As a part of the effort to bring a new smile to these children refugees faces, they were brought to our bird sanctuary. And it was fun indeed! Birds in the hand and an interesting talk about birds, nature, environment, being a child in The Sudan, hopes and dreams made them all so happy. And it was a first time for us too to meet them and to practice our Arabic lectures skills.
