Arctic Tern at the north
beach! On the 27/07/2007 Avi Meir, a bird photographer from Eilat, and Noam went on a pelagic excursion to try and get better shots of the Brown Booby that is around for two weeks now. The trip was successful with great shots of the booby, and some Lesser Crested Terns, Bridled Terns hovering above the bay, but the best bird of the day was an adult Arctic Tern that was flying around and then perched on the usual black pipes where most Terns sit. Arctic Terns are rare in Eilat's north beach, showing up in small numbers usually around July. Enjoy Avi Meir's great pictures.
